DR corio loves to listen to her patients. Difficult medical situations are what she deals with a good lot of her time. Practicing for 35 years has allowed her years of experience and compassion and wisdom to help deal with patient's medical conditions. Also, she is able to use her vast referral base to send patient's to the appropriate doctors needed for further consultations.
Dr corio has dedicated her professional life to helping woman and giving them the best gynecological care possible. She is always available, giving her patients her email and cellphone and textes back to patients the same day. Her staff is also as decimated- they have been giving above and beyond when it comes to taking care of my patients.

Dr corio is a practicing obstetrician, gynecologist in New York City for over 35 years. After graduating college and medical school from Rutgers medical school in Newark, New Jersey, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at mount Sinai hospital in New York City in 1982. Board certified and a fellow of the American college of Ob/Gyn (FACOG), she began private practice in New York City affiliating with mount Sinai hospital. As an assistant clinical professor, she was involved with teaching medical students and residents in Ob/Gyn. She continues to go to medical conferences to continue to be a pioneer in newest modalities affordable to patients. Teenagers to the elderly are seen in her office, and she continues to practice gynecology and first trimester obstetrics.
MEER THE TEAM
My gynecological staff consists of Mayra , my office manager of over 28 years- a medical technician who does everything in our office that is needed to be done Luz, also a medical technician is involved in everything as well. They answer phones, make appointments, precertify medication, and tests that are needed to be preformed. They draw blood, deal with insurances prescriptions on the computer, and much more. Cathy is my right hand man, and will take care of patients as well, get charts, reports and speak to patients on the phones as well. Lastly, Inna is my sonography who works by my side throughout my office hours to do gynecologic as well as first trimester ultrasounds. It is a very valuable part of my visit with my patients answering many questions as to what a patient is going through. All of my staff what to be involved with patient care - they love to hear about the patients lives and talk with them about all their medical needs. They truly reflect dr corio's warmth and love for her patients.

A complete physical exam ever time a patient is seen for her first visit and yearly visit which includes blood pressure, full body exam- thyroid, breast, heart, lungs, abdominal and pelvic exams. PAP and HPV screening and STD screening if indicated. 12 hour fasting bloods if needed which includes cholesterol, triglycerides, cardiac profile, CBC, thyroid profile, HgbA1C, cardiac CRP,folate, B12, Vit D, and other indicated tests. Contraception and perimenopause, menopause and postmenopausal counseling, along with vaginal and urinary issues.

dr corio's special interest in perimenopause started very early in her practice. She began to see patients who were complaining of different perimenopauSal symptoms but there was not a diagnosis known at that time.She decided to write a book on perimenopause and it was a great success The Change Before the Change - Everything you Need to know to stay healthy in the decade before menopause- became a classic.. Dr corio appeared on TV shows, radio shows and spoke in front of many female and ,male audiences that were excited to hear about perimenopause
